What makes Geed so special is the fact that despite everything Belial has done, he never stopped loving his father. He wanted to save him, but he accepted he was too far gone. All he could do was hold him, the part of him that was exhausted and wanted to die just to have some peace from all his anger and pain, before he landed the final blow. Now he's got a chance with a Belial who isn't passed the turning point yet to save him.But as this Belial pointed out, he never had son. So he doesn't have that bond that connected Geed to Belial in those final moments. He only Geed as his killer. ...And yet despite knowing this fact, he doesn't hate Geed. If he did, nothing would stop him from vowing to kill him since that's what old Belial would do. This Belial...just walks away. He...wishes he had a son, but has already given up that hope.
