Interactive works by their very nature are demanding
in a gallery space. They attract attention, require a
great deal of maintenance, and also a level of
involvement that is different from works that are
nailed to a wall and do not move again.
Many of these interactive artworks combine a number
of media so that the senses are stimulated on visual,
auditory, or even tactile levels, and this can be
disconcerting for an unsuspecting visitor.
