Here, we describe a method to assemble nanoparticles
to the silicon directly by amidation between amine group
of silicon surface and carboxyl group of the modified silica
nanoparticles. The silica nanoparticles derivated from
the conversion of amino-functionalized into carboxylic acidfunctionalized
by a ring opening linker elongation reaction
of the amine functions with succinic anhydride, and silicon surface was amino-terminated through self-assembling with
3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The surface was terminated with
carboxyl group, which is active to further react with relevant
reagents.
