Cocoa was abundant, the major source of income for all interviewed farmers and, therefore, the most affected crop. The less
abundant crops were mainly planted for subsistence purposes but
were still frequently crop-raided. The average loss of cocoa and
common food crops through crop raiding wildlife was 23% and
about 50% of the overall year’s harvest in our study. This is high
