Okay, for those of you having issues with the Cura auto leveler, here's what I've been doing to get it to work.
1. run the auto leveler (under machine debugger) at 50 radius, .3 tolerance to get a baseline.
2. Run again at .2 tolerance (if needed. Sometimes after a level check, your tolerance will be much lower, say, .14 or so. I typically go to the next lowest whole number)
2a. I usually go to 65 radius at this point, with the same tolerance adjustments. The farther out it is, the more accurate you can get it.
3. Once you've got it down to approx .05 or less, go to the parameter tab in the debugger. Grab a piece of paper, and center it on the build plate. Hit the 'bottom' button. In theory, your paper should be pinched between the hot end and the plate.
4. If its loose, adjust the x,y, and z parameters up (increase the value) by 30. hit save, then reset, then bottom.
5. Keep doing this till the paper is pinched, but can be pulled out with a little bit of force.
6. After that's all good, reset, and THEN apply some glue stick to your build surface, then print. The extra thickness of the glue seems to help a lot when I'm having trouble getting a print to stick.
