METHOD
The current lesson plan was developed according to the model of Participatory Action Research (PAR) in science education (Eilks&Ralle, 2002) as it has also been suggested by Pedertti and Hodson (1995) to use action research to implement societally driven education in science classroom. For more than a decade, many studies have been carried out that show PAR’s potential for evidence-based curriculum design and for promoting continuous professional development of teachers (marks & Eilks, 2010: Momlok-Naaman & Eilks, 2012).
