International Relations and Affairs:
I went into my degree with the initial goal of doing government work, most likely as an intelligence analyst. However, while I was interested in the subject matter, the classes I took gradually sapped my interest. Aware that a BA was insufficient, I went abroad and obtained a Masters from one of the top universities in Europe. Upon my return to the United States, I made an attempt to gain work with the government, but all I got was delays. From other friends who sought similar positions, you must go out of your way to obtain unpaid internships and extensive foreign travel if you wish to stand a chance for these careers. Ultimately, I found the degree very unsatisfactory and have since switched careers to something that actually pays.
