What Does the Fox Say?' is going to be a children's book
We didn't initially think of Ylvis' viral hit "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" as family-friendly, but a new book based on the song will be especially for kids.
Simon & Schuster is publishing a children's book in December that the Young Readers imprint promises will be "packed full of foxy fun."
Illustrated by Svein Nyhus, the picture book will pair images to go with the lyrics composed by the duo behind the silly single, brothers Bård Ylvisåker and Vegard Ylvisåker.
The Norwegian group is known for its comedy work, and have been performing as a variety group in Norway since the early 2000s. Thanks to the success of "The Fox" outside of their home country - the video has more than 200 million views on YouTube, as Simon & Schuster note - the popular tune is now being translated for the 4-8-year-old set.
