I went on a salad diet 3 meals a day eating a giant salad topped with raw fruits and vegetables. I put a little bit of tuna on it a few times and I lost 3 kilograms in 2 weeks. If I had kept it up for a few months I would have lost all of my pregnancy weight and then some. But I could not sustain this. After a few days I felt my body start to cool off which was strange. Close to the end of 2 weeks my body felt cold all day everyday. I had a hard time falling a sleep at night and I had chills off an on. In the Summer when it is very hot outside I might do it again for a few days to keep my insides clean, but I would not recommend doing this during the winter time or on a long term basis. I'm at my best when my body has great variety of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds, and a small amount of animal products like cheese, eggs, and fish. I also noticed when I completely cut out fats and animal protein completely like oils, butter, and meat my skin got really dried out and I felt like my skin was losing it's luminosity and elasticity. I reintroduced unsalted butter and good oils like coconut and avocado oil, eggs, and cheese, and my skin felt smooth and elastic again which was a relief. I eat small amounts of seafood and organic meats on occasion but my body runs and feels best on a cooked ova-lacto vegetarian diet. But my best friend is a more strict vegetarian who rarely eats eggs or cheese. She ate a piece of organic chicken from a stew and ended up in the emergency room that night with excruciating stomach pain, she believed her appendix had burst and she was dying. It turned out to be irritated bowels and gas. She was bloated for days after that. We all laughed at her because we didn't understand what was happening to her. Now we get it. My biggest lesson was that different people have different needs sometimes in life and in diet. It is so ridiculous for people who want to eat healthfully to fight with each other over who's habits are best. It had become almost like a food cult on youtube. lol
