The inputs that most affected the uncertainty in CH4 emissions were similar across all countries,
although the order of importance varied slightly from country to country (Fig. 6). According to the Spearman rank correlation coefficient,
in Wales and Scotland the emission factor for enteric fermentation from adult sheep had the largest impact on uncertainty,
whereas in England and Northern Ireland model inputs on cattle emissions were more important.
The most important inputs are: the emission factors for enteric fermentation for dairy replacements,
adult sheep, beef (other > 1year) and beef calves;
themaintenance parameter for lactating cattle (Cfi);
and feed digestibility for both beef and dairy cows.
