mechanisms have been predicted in odor control by nitrate addition,
one is that nitrate oxygen is more readily used by sulfate
reducing bacteria than sulfate oxygen hence reduced sulfide production,
while the other is the addition of nitrate develops denitrification
process where nitrate is reduced by oxidizing the
produced sulfide (Zhang et al., 2006; Bories et al., 2007; Jiang et al.,
2011). Addition of carefully controlled amounts of nitrate is needed
in order not to cause additional treatment of excess nitrate. The
