To celebrate 11 years of the Doernbecher Freestyle Program – a collaboration between Nike designers and young patients – the footwear and apparel company has partnered with the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon to release 11 pairs of the “What the Doernbecher” Nike Dunk High SB, featuring elements from 13 past Doernbecher Freestyle SB designs. All 11 pairs will be auctioned off on eBay beginning June 11. All proceeds from the auction – which will run for 10 days – will benefit the hospital. The six patients selected to design this year’s collection will be announced later this month, with the shoes themselves to be revealed on October 23.
