Infrared (also called Thermography) is a non-contact inspection performed with a hand-held thermal imaging camera designated to scan objects or equipments, during a facilities normal operating conditions. Within seconds, the scan produces thermal heat images. These brightly colored images show temperature differentiation and illuminate any "hot spots" or “defects” present.
To track what piece of equipment we are testing we document all equipment tested, the date, the locations of the equipment and pair the infrared photo with a digital photo of the defect. Temperature statistics, photos, expert analysis, defect severity and probable cause along with a recommendation are all provided in your Electrical Infrared Inspection Report.
A certified Thermographer will come to your facility at a pre-set time and date. He will introduce himself to you and, if time allows, describe the service we are providing and answer any questions your crew may have. He will then begin the inspection process. At the end of each day you will receive a preliminary report. Within five business days of the completion of your inspection you will receive your Final Report.
