The results from assessing the correlation between the parenting styles and the score of
the ASQ-SE determines that 0 of the children whose parents used authoritative parenting styles
had a significant delay in their social emotional development. It also showed that 0 out of the 1 child of a permissive parent has significant delays as well. However, there were 2 children who
were identified as having a significant delay in social emotional development, and both
children‟s parents used the authoritarian parenting style. In addition, 1 of the children parented
by an authoritarian parent did not fall below the cut-off of 70, but did score 60, which is
significantly close to the cut-off score
