Health and secondary prevention approaches. Health and secondary
prevention approaches are the provision of interventions
designed to (1) manage the child’s health and comorbidities,
which can be as disabling as the motor impairment itself (eg,
seizure control), and (2) prevent or lessen the natural history
of cerebral palsy (eg, contractures) from worsening the child’s
outcome.
