Classification of intellectual capital
In the process of classification the intellectual capital components, most classifications follow
the following structure: human capital, relational capital and structural capital (Edvinsson and
Malone, 1997; Green and Ryan, 2005; Sveiby, 1997). This structure belongs to Sveiby (1997), who
first made a classification of intellectual capital from an un-accounting perspective, classification
which is classified as: employee competence, internal structure and external structure of organization.
