both adults and children, which is of critical
importance given that skin infections are highly
prevalent among persons of all ages.7,28 Finally,
the populations studied were ethnically and geographically
diverse. In summary, we found no
significant differences between the efficacy of
clindamycin and that of TMP-SMX for the treatment
of uncomplicated skin infections in children
and adults with few or no major coexisting
conditions.
