if a test of a control that operates many times a day is designed to not
allow for any deviations and the actual number of deviations is one or more, the test
objective is generally not met. We may either conclude that the control is not effective or
we may decide to increase our sample sizes to obtain a better estimate of the projected
deviation rate.
