2.7. Statistics
Differences in biometric parameters between well watered and
water stressed plants of the same species were investigated with t-
Student test and were considered significant at t < 0,05. In 2010,
data were analyzed using a two-way mixed ANOVA, where water
regime was the fixed factor and source was the random factor. Leaf
gas exchange, Fv/Fm and water relations were analyzed using
Repeated Measures ANOVA, where water treatment (and source in
2010) were the between subject effect and time was the within
subject effect. All statistical analyses, except for the molecular
analyses were performed with SPSS 11.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL).
Dendrogram of the similarity coefficients was performed using
UPGMA (Unweighted Pair Group Method of Arithmetic means)
through the programme, Popgene Version 1.31 (Microsoft windows
based Freeware for population Genetic Analysis).
