Knowing both the information-processing and Piaget’s stages theories is important in education, specifically in terms of developing lesson plans that are appropriate and specific to the age level that is being taught. A teacher should be aware of student’s limitations and adjust lessons accordingly to ensure students learn and retain knowledge.
