"Yes, and has sounded a loud noise, I think it was a shot..."
"Don't worry, Nana is already calling the police. Don't worry, we're there now." Bekah said.
"Please Bekah Bear, don't delay."
"Be careful Baby Raina. I love you."
"I love you too." Raina hung up, while her classmates moved nervous. "Please, that nothing happens to Omma and Appa." Raina said, closing her eyes tight.
Lizzy looked at her and held her by the shoulders, resting her chin on Raina's head, while a sigh escaped her lips.
"They will be fine, I'm sure." Lizzy said, staring at the ceiling of the classroom.
Meanwhile, on the roof was a different scene, under a sky full of clouds announcing rain at any time. The sound of the shot still felt in the air, while the three women held their breath.
Jungah's body fell in her knees with a thud. Jungah's eyes were open wide, as she touched her cheek where the bullet had passed nearby. Jungah's face paled even more, seeing the death so near her eyes.
Kahi's eyes were fixed on the wall. A few inches from her body, the bullet had embedded in the wall. Then looked back at Dambi, returning to tighten the hammer of the gun, gritting her teeth.
"Dambi, stop!" Kahi said, rapidly approaching Dambi, by standing in front of Jungah.
Dambi, seeing the bouquet of red roses in Kahi's hands, strongly pressed the gun.
"Stand back, Kahi-unnie." Dambi said, seriously.
"Why are you doing this?" Kahi asked in despair, while behind her, Jungah still kneeling.
"Because I love you Kahi-unnie!" Shouted Dambi.
"But don't you understand that the person you are trying to kill is the reason for my happiness?"
"I can also make you happy!"
"A person can't decide these things!"
"I am in your life long before that , I have done everything possible to make you fall in love with me and I didn't succeed. Why does she do? WHY?"
"Because she's special."
"No unnie, you're just mine." Dambi said, pushing aside Kahi, pointing at Jungah with the gun. "I'll just lose you against Lee Jungah!" Shouted Dambi preparing to pull the trigger. Then...
"She is Lee Jungah..." Kahi calm voice sounded in every part of Dambi's brain, while she turned around. Jungah, confused, looked at both women.
"You are lying." Dambi said. "It's just a lie to save her damn life." Kahi smiled bitterly and shook her head gently.
"I don't lie." Kahi said. "You know me well Dambi, you know that I'm not lying."
Dambi looked at Kahi into her eyes, wanting to see inside Kahi's heart. And there she saw everything. She saw that Kahi wasn't lying and that finally, after many years, she had found who she really loved. And Dambi was about to remove her, condemning Kahi to a life full of suffering.
Dambi couldn't afford to be the cause of Kahi's pain, so she threw the gun down and her eyes filled with tears. Meanwhile, Jungah was watching the scene unfolding before her, kneeling on the floor.
"You have found her..." Dambi whispered, staring. Kahi nodded. "You have found her, Jiyoung-unnie." Dambi said, breaking into a run towards the exit of the roof, leaving the building.
At that time Kahi's eyes widened, looking at Jungah quickly, who had been completely paralyzed. Jungah looked up and stared at Kahi, who looked at her with her face pale like a dead.
"J-jiyoung-unnie?" Jungah said, her voice trembling. Kahi sighed and nodded. "Park Jiyoung?" Kahi nodded again. Jungah clenched tightly her jaw as her hands closed into a fist. "Ji-ah?"
"Hi, Jungah-unnie." Kahi said, while Jungah's eyes filled with tears.
At that time, the clouds that were covering the sky were opened in the light of a thunder and rain began to fall over the two women.
Meanwhile, Dambi quickly left the building, miraculously without being seen by anyone. When she crossed the street and got lost among the people walking along the sidewalk, Dambi saw the police came to Pledis High School and ran in the rain, to some place to ease the pain that suffered her heart.
Dambi reached a small park. Running in the mud, Dambi slipped and fell headlong to the ground, scratching her arms and staining her clothes.
Dambi didn't effort to move and closed her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her face, camouflaging with raindrops.
"Kahi-unnie..." Dambi said, sobbing heavily, her body kept shuddering. "I'm sorry..."
At that time, the rain falling over Dambi stopped. Confused and still with her eyes full of tears, Dambi looked up andfound the body of a man holding an umbrella over her. The man looked at her with compassion and curiosity.
"A pretty woman like you shouldn't be playing in the mud one day as rainy as today." Said the man. Dambi stood up, wiping her eyes, which caused her face stained with mud.
Dambi looked at her and something inside was shaken hard to see the deep dark eyes of the man who stared at her. With a smile on the face, he stretched a hand.
"My name is Marco." Said the man. "What is your name?"
"Dambi."
"Beautiful name." Dambi blushed. "Can I ask you why you were playing in the mud?"
"I wasn't playing, I was running and I fell."
"And why were you running?"
"Because life is very unfair and because I'm a bad person." Dambi said and her eyes filled with tears again.
Marco, seeing Dambi, hugged her shoulders. Dambi relied on Marco's chest, moving away quickly, but Marco then hold her again in her arms.
"But your coat will get dirty..." Dambi said, sobbing.
"I don't care. You need someone to comfort you, the coat can be washed." Marco said hugging Dambi, resting her chin on her head.
"Thank you." Dambi said, hugging Marco.
"About what you said before, I don't think that life is unfair or that you're a bad person. I'm sure that you're a wonderful person who is having a hard time. Everyone goes through bad times, but at the end of a rainy day, the sun always returns." Marco said, pulling away slightly to look in Dambi's eyes. Dambi looked at Marco, touched by her words and she smiled and nodded. "There's always something that brings back the smile to our lips."
"We can stay here like this for a while?" Asked Dambi, burying her face in Marco's chest. Marco smiled.
"Sure we can, for a while." Marco closed her eyes and hugged Dambi strongly, with a smile on her face.
Meanwhile, on the roof of Pledis High School, two women were staring fixedly, saying nothing. One of them standing with a bouquet of red roses in her hand. The other, kneeling on the floor, while the rain fell heavily on them.
Jungah slowly rose from the ground, slowly approaching Kahi. Kahi looked at her breathlessly.
"Why?" Jungah said. Kahi looked at her.
"What?"
"You knew it all this time and you didn't tell me?" Jungah said, clenching her fists.
"No, I discovered it the morning after our first night together, while you were taking a shower. I saw our photo under your bed and the document of your name change." Kahi said.
"Why you didn't tell me?!" Jungah shouted, startling Kahi. "You get an idea of the whole time I was waiting for you?!"
"Jungah... I..." At that time, Jungah slapped Kahi. Kahi opened her eyes wide, clutching her cheek.
"You're selfish." Jungah said coldly. "You never thought to tell me?"
"I wanted you to love me for who I am today. Jiyoung no longer exists. I am Kahi now." Kahi said, clutching her cheek. Jungah laughed bitterly.
"You definitely are an idiot." Jungah said, walking away from Kahi. "Don't you see that I was already in love with you, Kahi? I love with Kahi and Jiyoung. It wouldn't have changed anything because I loved you for who you are today." Jungah walked towards the exit, looking at Kahi over her shoulder, with tears in her eyes. "Because of you almost get killed, Jiyoung-unnie. Please don't come any closer to me." Kahi's eyes widened. "I prefer to live and feel the pain of not being with you, to die and feel nothing." Jungah said, leaving the roof with a last sob.
Kahi staring at her, with her eyes wide open, while the rain was still falling over her. Then reality hit her like a blow, and fell down on her knees on the floor, like the bouquet of roses. Kahi put her hands to her face, crying, while her tears were mingled among the raindrops running down her face. Kahi hit the ground with her fist.
"JUNGAH!" Shouted Kahi, while the light of a thunder lit up the sky and the sound turned off Kahi's screams.
