Pathogen
M.bovis was once cause of TB, but pasturization milk elimainted this public health problem in developed countries.
M. africanum significant cause TB in part of Africa.
M.canetti is rare and seem limited in horn of Africa (a few cases in African emigrant).
M. microti is rare mostly seen in immunodeficient people.
Other know pathogenic: M.leprae, M.avium and M.kansasii are classified as "non-tuberculous mycobacteria"(์NTM) cause neither TB nor leprosy and also cause pulmonary disease resemble TB.
