Cacoxenite is a hydrated iron aluminium phosphate oxide hydroxide mineral found as a secondary mineral in oxidised zones of phosphatic magnetite deposits and phosphate rich pegmatites.
Cacoxenite is most often found as an brownish inclusion in quartz, where it can form interesting patterns.
