Core rod:
Not available. The core rod is physically not available and will,
therefore, not be considered in the following.
As pin, standard. The core rod serves only for pressing a hole into the compact and does never come into contact with the upper ram.
As pin, displaced. The core rod serves for pressing a hole into the compact and is displaced by the upper ram..
As platen, with positive stop in lower ram. The core rod serves for shaping; the positive stop is located in the moving lower ram.
As platen, with positive stop in the base plate. The core rod serves for shaping. The positive stop is located in the stationary base plate.
Filling core rod: Individual platens move the pins and absorb no forces.
