huge sums of money for advertisements and campaigns. If the product differentiation
is genuine, there is nothing wrong to inform its customers through advertisement. An
advertisement that provides correct information is helpful to consumers. Islam does
not prohibit informative advertisements. However, Islam is against the principle of
false product differentiation campaigns.
Similarly, Islam is against the advertisement campaigning that induces or pushes
consumers to consume the goods or services such as alcohol, gambling, smoking,
etc., which are socially and morally undesirable and are not approved by the Shariah.
Thus, all campaign advertisements are not valid from an Islamic point of view. The
advertisement that provides the information of genuine product differentiation and
helps increase moral values is welcome
