Human-robot-interaction (HRI) technology has seen significant changes over the years [1]. Human-Robot Interaction is a subset of the field of human-computer interaction (HCI). The HRI is that to provide a more natural interaction between humans and robot systems, and has focus on gesture recognition. Posture recognition is a technology that achieves dynamic human-robot interactions without requiring physical contact based input devices.
A typical gesture recognition system involves such process as data acquisition, modeling, feature extraction and recognition. Moreover, Posture recognition is a complex task which may be variations on the methodology used and recognition phases depending on the applications. Currently, vision based sensors and motion sensors are widely used for posture recognition.
