We have previously reported that the total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of plasma was signi¢cantly
increased after ingestion of green tea in amounts
of 300 and 450 mL, and the increment was dose
related.10 There are some other reports that the TAC
increased after tea-drinking.7,11,12 However, the relationship between long-term ingestion of green tea
and in vivo oxidation of LDL has seldom been
investigated.
