- Visits to food festivals
A striking example of this type of Food tourism is the visit of the festival “Peglana
sausage” from Pirot/Serbia. The product “Peglana sausage” is produced only during this
time of the year, selling prices for the festival are about 20 EUR/kg and the entry fee for
the festival is about 10 EUR. On the 4th edition of the festival in February 2014 only
Bulgarian visitors were about 3,000 people, according to the Bulgarian tour operators.

trend of creating similar by herbal farms and farms of local spices. Visits to the markets
themselves are an expression of the desire of tourists to experience authentic local
