In the research conducted by Baydik and Kudret 5, tutors expressed that; there were many CD-ROMs available for teaching hand-writing and first reading, that they made use of these a lot, and therefore they did not have much trouble in hand-writing teaching. Moreover, tutors participating in the research, indicated that they made use of internet documents a lot during teaching. Also in this study, special education expressed that they used their time
well as they used the computers and cd-roms in teaching how to read and write, and as they were able to reach the ready documents easily. In the research carried out by Demirkiran 10 and Sevinc 18, it was indicated that; several teaching requirements such as motivation, peer to peer communication, repeating, adaptation of a situation to another (transferring), feedback and sensory-based education (stimulus related to seeing and hearing), were met thanks to the use of computers in the special education. And in this research, it coincides with the finding of special education tutors that, computers draw students’ attention and thus, increase their visual attention. In the study, it was found out that; special education tutors faced problems in teaching how to read and write, that they used computers, activities and materials available on the internet environment to solve these problems, and that there were tutors who were not able to use the materials and activities. In addition, it was also found out that, the materials
on the websites and the websites themselves were limited and they were not suitable for each student.
