Table 3 shows average, minimum and maximum values of specific energy consumption related to drying methods. The lower energy was observed when grapes were dried by microwave oven followed by hot air cabinet dryer. The higher value of energy consumption during grapes drying belonged to hot air cabinet dryer alone as drying method with value of 564.5 MJ/kgwater evaporated. These results gave benefits of drying grapes in combination of microwave oven with hot air drying
method. It should be noted that the specific energy consumption was calculated for comparing different methods in this study. Since the apparatus used was a laboratory-scaled device
and not purpose for energy optimization, the results will hold good for a relative assessment for this study
