Sala Bannarasabhag as dining hall, Sala Benchabisabhag as a storehouse, Kuti Somdej (Somdej Hall) as a lodge for Somdej Phra Vanarat (Dit Udayo) the lord abbot of Wat Mahadhatu who had been invited to look after the general works at the beginning, and also as a lodge for the new monks and guests. Apart from these, there was a large kuti constructed by the contribution of Prince Sarbasastra Subhakij, simply called “Kuti Sarbasastra,” Actually, the last kuti which King Chulalongkorn had ordered to build is “Kuti Borom Rajudis” (No. 42) but unfortunately it had not been finished when the king died. King Vajiravudh, Rama VI, his son, who was successive to the throne, had ordered to continue the construction till its completion. At the same time, King Vajiravudh had also contributed to the construction of three kuti bearing the same name as “Kuti Dilok Nopharath”, No. 43 and No. 44 which each is a small single kuti among the rowed kuti, and No. 45 which is a large single kuti. Thus comes to an end of the first phase of its construction.
