The basic culture
medium, a-MEM+, consisted of a-MEM (pH 7.2–7.4) supplemented
with 3 mg/mL bovine serum albumin (BSA), ITS (10 lg/mL insulin,
5.5 lg/mL transferrin and 5 ng/mL selenium), 2 mM glutamine,
2 mM hypoxanthine, 50 lg/mL ascorbic acid and bovine recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (rbFSH) under mineral oil.
