Instruction for Progress report –
Development Cooperation Intervention


This is an instruction to fill in the progress report template. The instruction contains questions that should be answered in the provided template. Use the questions to make a coherent text, instead of simply answering the questions one by one.

For financial reporting use the template: “Appendix financial template for progress and final reports”.


1. Actors
Describe how the partnership and the agreed cooperation between the formal partner organisations has worked during the period.


2. Progress towards fulfillment of project objectives
Describe the main achievements so far in relation to your project objectives.

Indicate to what extent the project objectives seem realistic. If not, why? Will a reformulation of the goals be necessary?


3. Activities and time schedule
Describe the main implemented activities in relation to the project objectives. Indicate whether or not the project is being implemented according to the agreed time schedule. Are there any important deviations from the original plan? Please comment.


4. Implementation
Has your system for monitoring worked according to plan? Are the indicators useful to measure the results of the intervention? Describe and comment on significant experiences.

Describe the target group’s participation. If possible, give examples on participatory method used.

Has any evaluations been carried out? Please attach.


5. Risk management
Did any of the problems that you had identified in the risk assessment occur? If so, how did you manage the problem? Should the risk management plan be updated?

Did any unexpected problems occur? If so, how were they handled?


6. Budget
Are there any deviations of 10% or more? If so, explain why and how it will affect the project.
Are there any financial challenges and risks so far? If so, how did you handle the difficulties?


7. Learnings
Describe important positive and negative experiences. What has worked and what has not worked? How will lessons learnt affect working methods and project design in the ongoing intervention?


8. Signatures
Authorised representatives from the Swedish organisation are to sign the report. (The member organisation is the party to the agreement in relation with SMC.)
