At every airport, the tallest building is the Control Tower with a cab on top which has very big windows. The air traffic controllers in the control tower are responsible for approach control and airport control. Approach Control controls aircraft arriving at the airport. Airport Control or Aerodrome Control controls all movements on the ground and departing aircraft. There are other air traffic control facilities at the airport too. Flight planes have to be given in the Briefing Room where the pilot receives all the information he should know concerning navigation and so on.
