QUALITY MESSAGE
2014, has been the good year for Quality with Group focusing on Quality with
the global initiated of our new quality brand as all of us have known it as
“Quartz”. Along with Quartz implementation in 2014. It covers many important
activities which driving our quality KPIs, quality leadership, improvements, our
performances as well as supplier and subcontractor that resulted increasing our
client’s satisfaction on all projects.
Most of us have learnt the importance of implementing 6 facets of Quartz,
from Quartz communication by DM and had the hands-on experience via Paper
aero plane workshop and demonstrated the improvement by using lesson learnt in
Quartz paper aero plane competition. Form a quality point of view, we could apply
what we have done in workshop in our day to day work for further improvement.
Add something on quality month this year activities/mascot etc.
This year, we also improved our client satisfaction especially on the Chevron
Project. We have good coordination from all disciplines to identify the problem,
analyzed the root causes and provided the good solutions/actions to client and did
it better and better resulting in higher score of CSS from Chevron.
However, as all of us know, best change with time. It mean if we did some
thing good yesterday, today some body may do it better. Quality is a journey not
a destination so in 2015 there are many rooms for improvement in terms of using
lesson learnt more effectively, demonstrating our leadership by raising quality issue
via Quality alert, close monitoring our performance as well as improving our
processes/services to fit our client’s requirements with good partnerships for both
supplier and subcontractor.
On our part the Quality team will develop tools to ensure and support our
TET to improve and maintain our quality of work such as local lesson learnt
database with user friendly, CSS data analysis tools, consulting for quality alert
issuance, revamp TET GWP/DWP and work hand in hand to deliver our high quality
deliverables to our client.
Quartz train the trainer shall be conducted in next year. It’s same as Pulse
program to integrate Quartz into our Culture of Excellent. And to ensure that we
have the good measuring system, Quartz for project will be launched in 2015 as
well. These things are our challenge in 2015.
Management Of Change (MOC) is everyone challenge but we sure that we
have strong commitment from management to support all improvement and good
partnership from QA.
