Following are the Minutes of the Meeting:
LOBBY / GROUND FLOOR / BEACH
• Bathroom needs to be there on the ground floor. It is suggested that we can convert the luggage room to Restrooms. Architect will come up with a suggestion in the next meeting.
Luggage room need also to be located in this area, please liaise with your Architect.
The lobby need to have: Welcoming Area, collection of local Artworks, lobby lounge and Bar, reception group check in, front office and luggage room, web corner IMAC Package.
The executive lounge is not require for this hotel.
• The flow of guests from the rooms via lobby & ADD to the beach and back seems a concern. Especially while going from beach to their rooms, there is a possibility of sand / dirt and water due to wet clothes dripping in the restaurant and lobby.
Roger was OK with this and did see this an issue.
Floors on this level will need to be non-slippery – mandatory.
Also The GM office and his assistant should be located on the Ground Floor.
• The balance between the outdoor seating and covered seating. The concern being, in bad weather (rain, too hot), we need to have enough covered seating to accommodate room occupancy especially for Breakfast. Roger will look into it to rearrange the set up to increase some seating.
This has been raise up during the meeting and solution has been found with your Architect, which he is supposed to take note, please liaise with him to update this layout in order to solve this issue.
• Roger agrees that 60 covered seating is not sufficient and need a minimum of 80 covered seating.
Correct
• He also suggested that he wants to combine Bar and Buffet into one central Island. This way we can have more seating.
This will need to be developed along with the Kitchen Consultant Designer
• Roger suggested that we add Island kitchen in the middle as part of buffet and bring out some cooking at the central Island Buffet so as to reduce the requirement of space in main kitchen.
Same as above.
SECOND FLOOR :
• It was suggested by Mr. Aman, that after the exit from the lift we can do a library / reception kind of a setup. On side of it can be business center and on the other side can be a pre function room. Rest of the space can be Function rooms and then at the other end (facing beach) we can make a small smoking area. Before the smoking area we can have a board room.
Correct, please liaise with your Architect in order to update those plans.
• Roger suggested that we can also reduce the size of business center.
Correct.
ROOMS AND GARDEN ON THIRD FLOOR:
• It was agreed that we do not need to have a Jacuzzi here. But a swing and some seating can be added. (or anything else that ID/Landscape can think of )
Correct.
ROOF TOP:
• Arrange Spa, Fitness Club and kids club towards the other end (opposite to beach).
Correct, those areas need to have lots of natural lights.
• Roger suggested to shift the bar towards the pool and rather make a round or oval bar.
Locate the bar in the center area in order to get a 360 views, and this will create great seating, also need to be able to serve some foods, we will liaise you’re your kitchen designer once onboard in order to understand what appliances will be needed. We need USB points at the bar and universal power points. Please liaise with your Architect to see further options.
We do not need the private party area at this level.
ROOMS:
• Query was raised, if we need bath tubs. Roger was of the opinion that we do not need them.
Correct
• Ratio between King and twin rooms needs to be decided. Roger will consult his team and get back to us on that.
This will be done at a later stage, which is the Room Mix
• Need to consider the possibility of adding an extra bed on request by the guest or adapt the sofa / chair in some way.
Sofa Bed is a good option.
GENERAL:
• “Metro” Kitchen designers were suggested as kitchen consultants. However Roger will suggest one more kitchen designer for our consideration.
