Legal likes
Facebook law enacted
Washington — Hitting the “like” button on Facebook is an element of free speech protected by the US constitution, a federal court ruled on September 18 in accordance with a recent case closely watched by employment lawyers. Facebook users are entitled to click like on the social network, and such action shall not be deemed a ground for social punishment.
The US Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, made the judgement in the case of a Virginia sheriff’s department worker who claimed he was fired for clicking like for a political opponent of his boss. — AFP
