After lunch we were invited to join one of the ladies from Student Services (a support group of staff who take care of all students’ needs and problems) on a tour around Brighton - again, this was amazing as it was an opportunity to meet other students with whom I was going to spend the next two years of my life. It was a lot of fun getting to know the city with all the fellow students.
After the tour was over, we were free to go wherever we wanted to - this meant grabbing coffee with one of my new friends and chatting for another hour or so.So, as you can see, all in all, the first day of college really is nothing to be worried about. First of all, most of the things that you will be doing are administrative in nature, and all the rest is just socialising and having fun with your new class-mates. Trust me; my first day in college did not even approach the scariness that I had managed to build in my head by the time it arrived! And I am sure; it will be the same for you!
