My debut epic fantasy novel, The Black God’s War, was released on August 1st, 2011. The novel works very well as a stand-alone read, but it’s also the first book in my series, Splendor and Ruin. It’s now available at Amazon US (or UK or DE), B&N, Kobo, iBooks, and Smashwords. Physical copies are available at CreateSpace, Amazon, and B&N.
The novel came out of the gate with some great reviews from MotherLode, Indie Fantasy Review, Adventures in SciFi Publishing, Journal of Always, Stories of My Life, FantasyBookReview.co.uk, and a Top 1000 Reviewer at Amazon (R. Nicholson). A BookReporter.com reviewer gave the novel an honorable mention for his favorite book of 2011. The novel won two awards in the the eFestival of Words “Best of the Independent eBook Awards;” it won the awards for *Best Fantasy* and *Best Novel.*
A free 15-chapter, 27,000-word excerpt introducing my epic fantasy novel is available for free on Amazon (also UK) and on Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Kobo, and Sony. At this point, I’d suggest reading only the first five chapters of this free work, since everything after chapter 5 is arranged differently in the novel (it’s better to read the novel after you’ve finished chapter five).
