At this time we would like to follow up on the site visits that took place September 12th, 2013; attached please find Sojitz’s (“SCA”) audit report which includes the corrective actions suggested by SCA (highlighted in yellow). By developing and implementing the suggested processes, procedures, training sessions and creating sign-in logs (driver’s, visitor’s and facility inspections), SMP will ensure that it will continue to meet C-TPAT security requirements.
We are also enclosing materials you may use as a “template guidance” to create your own training and procedures. Please update the attached procedures in accordance with SMP’s business model and practices. You can print or add your letterhead showing SMP’s logo. Upon completion, please send us a copy of each of the procedures and sign-in logs. The C-TPAT Business Partner-Supplier training, the 7 Point Container Inspection and 17 Point Trailer Inspection presentation and the Container/Trailer/Seal Inspection check list should be shared with SMP’s Supply Chain business partners.
