and excited at 633 nm and measured
at 661–749 nm to detect the protein signal. Imaging of the
samples was done using an upright Leica DM RE microscope connected
to a Leica TCS SP2 system (Leica Microsystems, CMSGmbH,
Mannheim, Germany) using an 63/1.32–0.6 oil-immersion objective.
The system was equipped with three visible light lasers. Imaging
was done with Leica Confocal Software (LCS, version 2.61).
Typical images (512 512 pixel slice) for each sample were
acquired.
