A former Yahoo editor has filed a lawsuit against Yahoo and its internal performance review system, “QPR”.
Gregory Anderson stated that the system had allegedly violated the federal and California laws, and discriminated men, Business Insider reported.
The ex-editor also claimed that he was illegally laid off during his leave of absence period to attend a fellowship programme at the University of Michigan.
According to the lawsuit, employees on approved leave are not applicable to the QPR system. However, the decision to cut his role was based on an “ad hoc ‘cumulative’ QPR Process” that had “no transparency for employees to understand what was happening and why”.
