osition Overview
This position will be responsible for using the company’s in-house tools to monitor the accuracy of data related to hotels and landmarks in Thailand. The role will involve updating erroneous data in the company’s database and on occasion validating information for 3rd-party sources. Basic knowledge of hotels and mapping will be helpful with strong emphasis placed on communication skills in English and Thai. No specific technical background is needed other than basic computer literacy and ability to use basic tools.
Job description
Review accuracy of hotel data such as location and facilities and update when errors are discovered
Review location and information of landmark data such as location and description and update as required.
Contact hotels or other sources to verify information.
Research information on specific hotels/landmarks from a variety of sources such as Google or travel-oriented sites.
Provide feedback on how to improve the process of checking this data to his/her manager
Make suggestions on how to improve the tool’s usability to speed up the process of validating data accuracy
Requirements:
Speaking/Writing proficiency in Thai and English (with min TOEFL score of 600).
Strong communication skill
Ability to use a Windows PC and MS-Office.
Understanding of basic mapping such as google maps and GPS
Well organized and able to work independently when assigned a task
Comfortable asking questions when needing help.
Able to multi-task
Able to work with team members who are based oversea
