Detailed Research Process
1. Review documents and related data.
2. Brainstorm among the research team members to identify and focus the direction of
the study, specify targeted provinces in China in order to conduct an in-depth investigation
and to explore several sources of useful information, particularly the source of data in China.
3. Accumulate, gather and analyze secondary data from documentary research,
focusing on sources of information in China.
4. Integrate, edit and analyze those secondary sources gathered in order to write and
submit an inception report.
5. Survey and investigate in the Chinese markets and trade regime, focusing on its
import procedures and related standards on rubber and rubber products from various
information-gathering techniques such as in-depth interviews of Thai entrepreneurs and
related government officials and policy makers.

information in China for preparation of a field survey in China.
7. Synchronize and integrate information gathered, analyze them and prepare for an
interim report, along with a study and assessment of potential Thai rubber products to export
to China.
8. Organize a seminar with about 100 participants in order to present an interim report
and welcome public comments on the report. Then the research team will summarize those
comments and suggestions to report to TISI, and revise the report based on those comments,
views and recommendations received from the seminar, if necessary.
9. Submit a draft final report that has been revised from step 8.
10. Finalize and submit a final report and two executive summaries, in Thai and in
English, together with CDs containing final analysis of research findings and making
recommendations to the Thai government and private sectors.
11. Produce and distribute an export handbook of China’s standards and regulations
regarding import procedures of rubber and rubber products, based on a final report and
assessment of potential rubber products to export to China.
12. Organize an in-house seminar for TISI in order to present a final report and
findings to TISI’s executives and staffs.
