Your team plans one large social event every year. Traditionally, the event includes food and games, but this year, you have an idea to plan a teambuilding event instead. However, you know your team generally does not like change.
1. Tell a few of your coworkers about the idea and, if they like it, meet individually with the remainder of your coworkers to share your idea with them.
2. Consider the arguments your coworkers might make against your idea, develop replies to these arguments, and then, discuss the idea during a team meeting.
3. Ask your manager for her opinion, and if she likes your idea, ask her to share it with the rest of the team because she would be more likely to influence them.
4. Email your idea to your coworkers and ask if they would be willing to support it.
5. Convince a few of your coworkers of the benefits of your idea, and ask them to help convince others.
