Compositional analysis of rice material tested in the 90-day feeding study revealed statistically significant differ- ences between transgenic and parental rice. Transgenic rice was higher in moisture, protein, glutamic acid, ash, phosphorous, and potassium but lower in copper and manganese. Minor, but statistically significant differences were observed for distributions of fatty acids and steryl fer- ulates. Except for ash and potassium, data for the trans- genic rice were within ranges reported in the literature.
