Survival manuals often mention that the livers of polar bears are toxic, due to their high concentrations of vitamin A, but it's far more likely that any attempt to catch one of our furry friends is the thing that will be the death of you. Another toxic meat is the flesh of the hawksbill turtle - you'll recognise one by his down-turned bill and yellow polka dots on his neck and front flippers. However, as they weigh more than 275 kilograms, you're unlikely to capture one of those either.
