Not at all species are threatened by rising temperatures; there are some plants and animals that like it hot and dry. Others can move or 16adapt to get the cold or moisture they need to survive. But no one is entirely sure how all of this change will affect the human population. What is more worrying is that scientists now 17predict that average temperatures may go up another 1.4 to 5.8 degrees in the next 100 years. If that happens, it really wouldn’t give plants and animals much time to adapt to the new conditions and a lot of them would 18perish as a result of this change.
