The Tired Old Man Dreams of Lions
The man sleeps in his hut. Manolin feels happy to see the man alive but cries to see the condition of the hands of the old man. Manolin brings coffee for the Old Man. While taking it, the old man accepts his defeat by the sharks. The fishermen who see the skeleton understand what might have happened with the Old Man. The American tourists think that the skeleton may be of a shark and not of a marlin.
The boy, Manolim, wishes to go with the Old man for fishing as he wishes to learn more from him. However, the old man feels too tired to go for fishing. He sleeps and dreams of the lions on the lions on the golden beaches of Africa.
