The Canadian History Hall, due to open on July 1, 2017, is the largest and most ambitious exhibition project undertaken by the Canadian Museum of History.
The new Hall will tell the story of Canada and its people from the dawn of human habitation to the present day, through the events, experiences and people that reflect and have shaped the country’s history and uniqueness. Covering approximately 4,000 square metres (40,000 square feet), the exhibition’s three main galleries will tell Canada’s story chronologically and thematically.
Construction on the Canadian History Hall is well underway. Follow the Museum’s blog to get regular updates on the major project milestones until the completion of the hall in time for the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017.
